Employment and Training
Experience Works Participant
CPCA is proud to participate in the Experience Works Program. Through this program, older Pennsylvanians with valuable work experience are paired with charitable organizations. A volunteer position is set up with the organization but the participants are paid a wage through Area Agency on Aging.The charitable organization benefits from the participants experience and help while older Pennsylvanians are able to contribute to the community while earning a wage. Work Ready
Work Ready assists adults to develop and reach goals of employment and/or education.The goal of the program is to provide a positive and gradual introduction to employment. The expected outcome is job placement into unsubsidized employment for at least 20 hours per week and paying at least minimum wage. Work Ready is a program which involves individual ongoing case management, supportive services, and incentives. Participants are taught various employment skills such as: resume writing, job searching, interviewing skills, vocational educational training, and completing applications. All referrals for the program are made by the county assistance offices in Clearfield and Centre counties.

Through this program, you may qualify for clothing that will enable you to start a new job, go on interviews, work an internship, or other work related function. CPCA provides professional, business casual, and job specific clothing, at no cost to the consumer, for those that qualify. Examples include an interview suit, hospital scrubs, steel-toe boots , business casual attire, etc. We have two locations that serve Centre and Clearfield counties.All referrals for this program must be approved by local County Assistance offices.Experience the gift of giving of yourself to help others in need. Volunteers are needed for:
Fundraising Sorting Folding Ironing Client Clothing Assistance and so much more.... Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am till 4:00 pm at the Clearfield and Bellefonte offices.
