Located in the old Woodward School Building at 40 Terrace Drive in Houtzdale, the Community Closet is a second-hand store open to the public that is a great place for anyone to shop. You can visit the Community Closet Monday through Thursday from 8a.m. to 4:30p.m. And don’t forget that community thrift stores operate on the donations of clothing and other items they receive, so while you’re cleaning out your closet remember to bag up your old stuff and drop it off at your local second-hand shop. All proceeds from the Community Closet benefit the congregate meal program at the Houtzdale Senior Center.
